Holiday Lights at Shore Acres
Starts: 11/26/2026 - Ends: 12/31/2023
A community tradition was born in 1987 when Friends of Shore Acres Inc. decided to “string a few lights” to help celebrate the holidays. That first season, 6,000 miniature lights, one large Christmas tree, and the decorated and open Garden House drew 9,000 visitors. Now, at least 325,000 Lights – both L.E.D. and landscape – dozens of Christmas trees and lighted sculpture displays, and the festive open house attract – on average (and depending on the weather) – from 50,000 to 60,000 visitors each season. Inside the Garden House, long scrolls of names pay tribute to the business supporters, members, and the more than 1,500 volunteers who make it happen for all to enjoy. People from all over the world enjoy the holiday lights. Many return year after year to share in this wonderful “community tradition. A holiday tradition for the whole family. This festive annual display debuts on Thanksgiving Day and will light up Shore Acres from 4:30 p.m.- 9:00 p.m. each night (including Dec 24th & 25th) thru December 31st.

Care Camps Big Weekend
Starts: 05/10/2026 - Ends: 05/11/2024
As you all know the second weekend in May is our Care Camps Big Weekend. What you may not know is that your stay will make a difference in the lives of children with cancer, by helping raise funds for medically supervised Care Camps across North America. These camps give kids with cancer a chance to be worry-free and experience "camp" just like we all did at that age, with activities designed just for them and their situation. Funds raised from the Saturday campground donation support the KOA Care Camps Trust, which distributes more than $1 million annually to support 125+ Care Camps. So in an effort for us to continue to support these amazing camps, we here at the Bandon Port Orford KOA will be having an Ice Cream Social (weather permitting) where you will get your first scoop on us and anything after will be donated to Care Camps. So come stay with us during the Care Camp Big Weekend and help support this wonderful charity. Learn more at koacarecamps.org.
* Only valid at participating KOA locations. Applies to one site, for two consecutive nights at the same KOA. Sites may be limited. Only KOA Rewards discounts apply.

CIrcles in the Sand, Labyrinths on the Beach
Starts: 04/19/2026 - Ends: 08/15/2026
The intention of Circles in the Sand is to share love, joy and kindness. Team Circles creates sand labyrinths surrounded by intricate designs and artwork. We invite everyone to enjoy a walk on the sand path.
What to expect when you visit with Circles in the Sand: The times posted on our public schedule are when the artwork will be complete and ready to walk. Creating the labyrinths usually starts about two hours before the scheduled Walk time. For instance, if the time on the schedule is 8:00 AM that means that is when the path is open for walking; the team will be on the sand about 6:00 AM to start drawing the path. Path will be walkable for two hours or more depending on the returning tide. Our home beach is Face Rock Wayside in Bandon, Oregon. Parking is limited and fills quickly. We will have staff at the entrance to ensure the parking lot does not overfill. Labyrinth - Walking Meditation - a unique morning walk on the beach.
Labyrinth master artist Denny Dyke creates "walkable art" which is a sandy path through an entire pattern with no wrong turns or dead ends. The path is further enhanced with detailed designs and is open for all to enjoy.
Subject to cancellation due to inclement weather, rain and/or high winds.
