55th Annual Andy Devine Parade

It's that time of year where the Kingman community comes together to celebrate the Annual Andy Devine Parade. Participating in this annual event will make you feel like a part of the legend that has become Andy Devine Days. Each year, entries in this parade celebrate Kingman's western heritage and its roots in mining, the railroad, Route 66, ranching, and rodeos. Enjoy all that Kingman has to offer as we remember the past and look toward the future. Applications are at the Parks & Recreation Office located at 3333 Harrison St., or by calling 928.757.7919. Applications are also available at www.cityofkingman.gov; click on Parks & Recreation and look under the Forms and Information section to obtain an entry form. Everyone is welcome to participate and it's FREE! Participants are strongly encouraged to design and build float entries around the current year's theme, “How the West Was Won.” Participation plaques are available for purchase to all parade entries for a $30 charge and must be paid at the time of application. Deadline to enter this year's parade is September 15th! Parade starts at 10am.

Old Miners' Day Parade and Celebration in Chloride

To start the day, Chloride's bakers prepare their one-of-a-kind treats for the Corner Bake Sale at 9 AM. Pineapple Upside-Down Cake and Pecan Pie are bestsellers! Don't forget to buy raffle tickets... the prizes include hotel stays, gift certificates, and sometimes cash! You can still participate in the parade, just sign up in the Town Hall between 9:30 AM and 11 AM. Watch gunfight reenactments in the Chloride Historical Society's Cyanide Springs at 11 AM and 1 PM. The parade starts at noon! After the parade, have lunch at Yesterdays Restaurant, grab a snack at the Mineshaft Market, or from one of the various food vendors. The parade, awards celebration, and raffle prizes (at the Chloride Town Hall) round out the day!

3rd Annual Another Darn Car Show

=smallThe Time Travelers Car Club presents 3rd Annual "Another Darn Car Show on October 4th from 10AM to 2PM (Roll in at 9AM). Music by DJ Scojo. Spectators always free. $20 Entry ($15 motorcycles). The event will include craft & food vendors, bounce house, face painting, raffles, and awards. Proceeds go to local charities. Prizes include a big screen TV (50/50 Raffle) and more. First Friday

Sasquatch Hunt

The BIG foot hunt (max. 5 miles/5 hours). Participants will be given a Sasquatch Field Guide and an event swag bag. The event will begin with an educational briefing from a local Sasquatch and Outdoor Survival Specialist. The hunt will take place in the lower elevations of Hualapai Mountain Park from Rec Area #1 up to the Main Trailhead and everywhere in between. We have experienced multiple sightings in two different locations and believe there are now two creatures inching ever closer to civilization. The first 3 participants to find each Sasquatch will receive a special award. All registered participants shall receive an event shirt and a unique participation medal. The event starts at 8am. Brews & Brats Oktoberfest

The 17th Annual Brews and Brats Oktoberfest, presented by the Kingman Route 66 Rotary Club, will take place at Metcalfe Park. Kingman's original and longest running Oktoberfest, the Brews and Brats Oktoberfest will feature craft beer from Black Bridge Brewery, grilled bratwurst and sauerkraut, German pretzels, and other offerings. There will be live entertainment throughout the weekend, dancing, vendors, and fun! Admission is always free, and proceeds from this event go to the Kingman Route 66 Rotary Club's Foundation, a 501c-3 non-profit foundation which supports service projects in our community and internationally. 201st Annual Alpaca Farm Days

Alpacas of the Southwest is hosting its 21st Annual Alpaca Farm Days! Come meet and greet our 28 alpacas. Feed them, pet them, take pictures. Several local Artisans on site with unique handmade items for purchase. Mohave County Rock & Gem Club will have a large booth with lots of cool gemstones. Special event on Saturday as the High Desert Astronomy Club of Kingman will have solar telescopes on hand. Visit the Ranch Store to experience luxury alpaca products. Kiddos can visit the Arts & Craft Cabin to create an art project to take home. All supplies provided. Face Painting booth. No dogs permitted. Alpacas of the Southwest Farm is located off the Blake Ranch Road exit on Interstate-40 heading east. Take the Blake Ranch Road exit and follow the signs. As always, Farm Days is free to the public.
